First STARTFPV FPV Pilots Meetup: Micro FPV Racing, Simulator Training, and Tiny Whoop Fun
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, STARTFPV hosted its first-ever FPV Pilots Meetup, bringing together 18 passionate FPV hobbyists for a full day of immersive experiences and friendly competition.
The event began indoors with the STARTFPV simulator software, which includes CAAC certification training modules, allowing pilots to practice with micro FPV drones, sharpen their skills, and experience realistic flight physics. Both beginners and experienced pilots enjoyed the simulator, gaining confidence and learning advanced techniques for FPV racing and CAAC certification preparation.
After simulator practice, the meetup moved outdoors for the Micro FPV Racing Drone competition. Participants flew the STARTFPV R8 Tiny Whoop, a brushless micro quadcopter known for its precision and agility. Pilots navigated tight turns and obstacles, demonstrating the skills honed on the simulator. Spectators cheered as the top three pilots achieved excellent results and received generous prizes.
The meetup highlighted not only the performance of STARTFPV drones and accessories but also the vibrant FPV hobby community. Attendees experienced hands-on flying with brushless micro FPV drones, learned tips from fellow pilots, and enjoyed the thrill of real-world FPV racing.
